Mr President,
I wrote you an open letter before you were elected. People called me "brave" and "gutsy". In actuality I was practicing my 1st amendment right to free speech. Nothing "brave" or "gutsy" about that. It is my right and my duty when I need to use it.
I will again in this letter use that right to free speech, without reservation.
God knows that for eight years we had to listen to the likes of moveon.org and the "Huff-n-puff" post as well as the "dailykooks"
spew their hatred for President Bush and say things so mean spirited,so vitriolic and hateful, even going as far as to post photshopped nude pictures of President Bush. I have never seen the pictures nor do I care to. Why? Because there is nothing surprising about the things people on the left do when they want to whine, and make much ado about nothing let alone speak the the truth.
These Mr. President are your constituants. Your supporters. The people you bow to when making decsions.
Corrupt groups like ACORN, and Corrupt people like George Soros.
These are your policy makers.
I will give you credit where credit is due.
I commend you that you have continued the war against Terror and are even backing down on your "campaign" promise to end the war and call the troops home your first 3 months in office which later turned out to be 16 months (and may I say that it is the same plan President Bush had too) .And you plan to send 20,000 more troops to Afghanistan this year.I'm sure that when you had your first briefing in the white house when you were still president elect, you were shown that the things you were so adamantly against, were unfounded, and you understood the danger we're up against. Well kind of anyway. I mean you have to please the code pinkers and your other left wing extremist groups and "say" you're going to close down gitmo, and end the war.
At the same time I commend you I also reprimand you for saying that the slogans (or the "bumper sticker" slogans as John Edwards so idiotically put it) "War on Terror" and "enemy combatants" are not to be used anymore.
SO what are we supposed to say? Should we call the war on terror "the attempt to get those one guys that want to kill us thingy".
and should we call enemy combatants "Our beloved guests"? I think you should go back to the truth and call it what it is. "THE WAR ON TERROR"!
My personal opinion (without name calling) is that I don't think you are capable of being truthful.
Your policies change from day to day, so It's kind of hard to tell what you are going to do next.
Your policies are sending us down your sneaky little plan to socialize and nationalize this country.
And as an American citizen I do not like it!
We are not a socailist people and the polls (I know how you democrats love polls) show that 55% of Americans do not want to see governemnt expand. Will you listen? Doubtful. You're too full of yourself to listen to the majority.
I could go on all night pointing out your faults as a president, but I don't have the time to get that angry!
What I wanted to address to you is your comment about the "Tea party" protests the other day in front of people who" like" you, instead of those of us who disagree with you. And while were on that subject, why don't your handlers let you have people like me in those meetings. You're not afraid of a harball question from an opposing view are you? NAH not you!
As an American I was quite disturbed when you said "well you know, those "people" waving their little tea bags around, and that one network who encouraged them".
Well I was one of those PROUD AMERICAN'S who attended the Tea party rally at one of the most sacred places in America.
THE ALAMO!
What did you mean when you said "those people"?
You mean those conservatives AND liberals from both parties black and white, Asian and Hispanic AMERICAN PATRIOTS who dared to speak their mind against your administrations policies and "wave their little tea bags around".
I'll give you this much however. President Bush made a mistake by starting the bailouts but YOU and YOUR party ran with it and basically gave them a blank check and now we are in more debt than we will EVER be able to pay back.
But back to my point.
My point is who the hell do you think you are!?
"Those PEOPLE" you reffered to; are Americans. WE THE PEOPLE. How dare you belittle and marginalize American citizens like that!
You should be ashamed of yourself.
But in your arrogance and your "addiction to attention", you had to placate and pander to your base at your town hall meeting by making fun of your own people that you are president of.
And in your narrow minded view of Americans, you must have thought that they were ALL conservative Republican's,
You must have been thinking "there could'nt be anyone from my party protesting me".
Well believe me. There were people there who voted for you and are now regretting it.
I may have had to hold my nose and vote for Mccain, but I sure didn't vote for you!
Just for that reason. I think you are as about as arrogant as they come sir, and LIBERAL ELITIST fits you to a tee!
When I heard your acceptance speech you said you would be "everyones" president. Exactly the words I wanted to hear. And I actually respected you for that, and hoped you were telling the truth.
WELL, now I know I've been "bamboozled", taken for a fool and lied to.
Yep, that's right. You lied to those of us who did not vote for you.
You proved that you are not 'everyones"president. By the way when you made your irresponsible "tea bag"statement , I noticed that only a few people chuckled at your sickening comment. HMM msut have been a few of them that still believe in free speech.
NEVER,EVER have I seen a sitting President put down the American people!
I'm old enough to remeber Johnson's funeral, but I have never seen any of the presidents in my lifetime belittle the American people, and make them out to be a bunch of "right wing extremists just because they threw a protest. I can't count how many anti-Bush protests that I had to endure for 8 years.
My God what were you thinking?
Since you like to blame president Bush for all of the things you "inherited" let me say one thing you didn't inherit from President Bush.
CLASS and INTEGRITY.
When president Bush was asked many times throught his presidency "does it bother you what people say about you in the blogs and the newspapers?" President Bush would always say "This is AMERICA. People have the right to say whatever they want". Now that's class!
President Bush understood the responsibility of the office of the presidency was all about, and believe me the 1st amendment was "liberally" used against him in his time in office.
But you obviously do not understand our constitution or the awesome responsibilty you undertook when you were sworn in..
To you; the office is nothing more than a toy that you play with. And when someone doesn't worship you, you get offended and make a "boneheaded" statement like that.
If you want to be "everyones"president, then ACT LIKE IT!
But sadly you are not.
The right of the peole to free speech shall not be infringed upon.
It's the first amendment Mr. President. it is your sworn duty to uphold the constitution, and I mean ALL of it!
Remember who you work for sir. ME. Me and the rest of the people in this great country.
When you have a job, you do not make fun of the boss.
I'm sorry, but any respect I had for you is all but gone. You owe the American people an apology.
Even those peole who waved their little tea bags around.
And let me tell you another thing. THERE WERE ALLOT MORE AMERICAN FLAGS BEING WAVED THEN THERE WERE TEA BAGS THAT DAY!
Rumor has it that you'll be going after people like me who blog (at least those who oppose most of your ideas) and speak their mind against you.
Well I'm one of them, and sure you can put me in jail. If you do though, you will only make me a poster child for the right to free speech.
Just remember Mr. President. There are lots of peole out there who will not let America fall into the hands of socialism.
Will not stand for the government running every aspect of our lives.
Will not let tyranny rule.
Will not stand for a DHS secretary calling us right wing extremists and that we should be "watched" because we might recruit soldiers coming back from the war to wave tea bags around.
If this keeps up, just remember, that there are 33 states calling for a constitutional convention. Is that what you want?
Never before has this country had one. But hey, you're the president of "firsts" right???
